PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Proctor Penguins and Families,

We had a big day here on Friday, and it was filled with all the things that make our Proctor learning community so special!

Our third graders kicked things off by leading our Penguin Huddle with a thoughtful focus on Memorial Day and why we observe it. It was a meaningful way for all of us to pause and reflect together. Later in the morning, we had the chance to cheer on the ARHS seniors who are Proctor alums as they returned for their clap-out celebration. It’s always such a full-circle moment to see them walking through our halls again with their decorated caps and gowns as our Kinder through 5th graders jump up and down!

And to round out the day, our fifth graders planted flowers as their class gift to the school. It was such a sweet and lasting way for them to leave their mark as they prepare to head off to middle school.

We’re heading into another full week, with lots of excitement building for Field Day this Friday. Get ready for a day of fun, teamwork, and plenty of Proctor Penguin pride!

As always, thank you for your continued partnership. Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

This weekly newsletter will outline the following updates:
  • Save the Date and Details
  • PTO Updates
  • NSPAC Updates

Respectfully,

Stacy Mahoney

Field Day-Friday June 6th Safety Tips & Guidelines

It’s finally here…Field Day 2025! To make this a fun-filled day, here are some suggestions and guidelines to keep everyone happy and safe.
● Proper footwear is essential to prevent injuries from occurring. Dress as if
you were going to gym class. Wear your sneakers and comfortable
clothing. No flip-flops or sandals, please.

● Since we will be outside all day, apply sunscreen before coming to
school to prevent sunburns. You can also wear baseball hats, visors,
and/or sunglasses to help protect yourself from the sun. The staff will not
be applying sunscreen to students.

● We encourage everyone to bring a water bottle on Field Day. If you
want to fill your child’s water bottle with Gatorade or a sports drink, feel
free to do so. Please make sure that your child’s name is written on the
water bottle with a permanent marker. Students are not allowed to share
water bottles.

● Students may wear their bathing suits under their clothing. Students will
not be allowed to change into their bathing suits once they arrive at
school. Students are required to keep their clothes on over their
bathing suits! Children can bring towels…please be sure to label them!

● Please show your Proctor Pride and consider wearing a Proctor T-shirt or
green and gold clothing.

● All of our volunteers must have a current CORI form on file with the school
district. Additionally, if you are volunteering remember that no siblings are permitted to attend.

This event is for our Proctor students to enjoy this super, special day. Field Day is a time of excitement and celebration as the school year comes to an end. By keeping everyone safe, our day is sure to be filled with lots of wonderful memories to treasure.
