Teacher Assignments

Teacher assignments will be shared with families the afternoon of August 13.
We want families to know how much time and care go into this process. In the spring, our leadership team and teachers work collaboratively to:
  • Review student academic data, social-emotional needs, and learning styles
  • Consider input from staff and parents/caregivers and other stakeholders
  • Balance classrooms to create the most positive learning environment possible
Thank you for trusting this thoughtful process. We are confident it sets our Penguins up for a great start!

New‑to‑Town Student Scavenger Hunt

Date: Friday, August 15 | Time: 10 am
If you’re new to Proctor, join us for a fun scavenger hunt to explore the school, meet new friends, and feel at home before the first day!

5th Grade Volunteers Needed

We are looking for about five 5th grade Penguins to help lead the tour for our new-to-town student scavenger hunt. Please see above for the date and time. If you would like to help tour our new students, please email Mrs. Mahoney.

Pages with Penguins

We love seeing our Penguins read! Share your child’s reading adventures by emailing Mrs. Mahoney your photo to be posted on our school's Instagram account.

Volunteer Opportunities

Yearbook Committee
Help us capture the story of our school year! Being part of the Yearbook Committee isn’t just about graphic design—it’s about:
  • Collecting and organizing photos from events, classrooms, and families
  • Helping with layout ideas (no design experience required!)
  • Brainstorming fun page themes
  • Collaborating to make sure every student and event is represented
The more people we have, the better—many hands make light work, especially when it comes to gathering and organizing photos! Mrs. McMahon was incredibly helpful in taking this responsibility on last school year. Thank you, Mrs. McMahon.

5th Grade Parent/Caregiver Committee
Join us in planning all the special 5th-grade events, including the class gift, celebrations, and end-of-year traditions.

If you’re interested in either committee, please email Mrs. Mahoney.

Coming Soon!

As we get closer to the first day of school, watch for additional updates on:
  • Daily schedules and routines
  • Arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Lunch menus and snack guidelines
  • Communication tools for families
  • Back-to-school events

These details will be shared later in August to make sure you feel fully prepared.
