Dear Proctor Penguins and Families,

As we wrap up 2025, I am feeling incredibly grateful for our Proctor community. This time of year invites us to slow down, reflect, and lean into what matters most, caring for ourselves, caring for each other, and caring for our school. To all families who celebrate holidays at this time of year, we wish you a festive, warm, and joyful season filled with connection and peace. We also wish everyone a happy, healthy New Year.

Thank you for the many ways you partner with us each day. Our Penguins continue to show us what it means to live the Penguin Way, and we are so proud of their growth, kindness, and perseverance.

Spirit Days This Week
This week, our Penguins will wrap up the year with some fun school spirit. Students are invited to participate in Color Wars on Monday and Pajama Day on Tuesday. If your child has Proctor spirit wear, they are always welcome to wear it as well. Participation is always optional, and we love seeing students express their spirit in ways that feel comfortable for them.

Important Reminder for This Week
We have an early release day on Tuesday. Please note that there will be no NEDP on Tuesday afternoon.

If your child typically attends NEDP on Tuesdays, please be sure to email your child’s dismissal plans to
📧 proctorattendance@nsboro.k12.ma.us
as soon as possible so we can ensure a smooth and safe dismissal for all students.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Proctor family. We look forward to welcoming our Penguins back in the new year, refreshed, recharged, and ready to learn together.

This weekly newsletter will outline the following updates:
  • Save the Date
  • Family Resources
  • PTO
  • NSPAC

Respectfully,

Stacy Mahoney and the Proctor Team

Morning Drop-Off Reminder

As we move into the winter months, our morning traffic pattern becomes even more important for safety and efficiency. Two quick reminders:

1. Drop-and-Go Lane
Our drop-off line is a drop-and-go. Please do not exit your vehicle for extended goodbyes. Even short delays create a traffic backup and slow down families who need to get to their next destination. Staff are outside and ready to help students enter safely.

2. Passing Vans with Flashing Lights
If you arrive after 8:25 a.m. and there are school transport vans in front of you with flashing lights, you are not permitted to pass. Please wait until the lights are off before proceeding. This is a safety requirement to ensure students are entering the building safely.

Thank you for helping us keep morning arrival smooth and safe for all.
