Happy New Year, Proctor Penguins and Families!

Welcome back, Proctor families. We hope you had a wonderful break and were able to spend time together in ways that felt meaningful for your family.

We wrapped up 2025 with a fun and very Proctor kind of celebration with a whole school Huddle. Students and staff celebrated being named a DESE School of Recognition, thanks to our amazing PTO for presenting us with a banner. Our highest Fun Run fundraisers had the honor of silly stringing staff, and we ended with our annual holiday sing-along. It was a joyful reminder of the strong sense of community we’ve built together.

As we head into the rest of the school year, our focus remains on belonging. We want Proctor to be a place where students feel connected and supported and where families feel welcomed and valued as partners.

If you have ideas for ways we can continue to bring families into the school or strengthen our sense of community, we would love to hear them. Big or small, your ideas matter.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We’re glad to be back together and look forward to what’s ahead.

This weekly newsletter will outline the following updates:

  • Family Resources
  • PTO
  • NSPAC

Morning Drop-Off Reminder

As we move into the winter months, our morning traffic pattern becomes even more important for safety and efficiency. Two quick reminders:

1. Drop-and-Go Lane
Our drop-off line is a drop-and-go. Please do not exit your vehicle for extended goodbyes. Even short delays create a traffic backup and slow down families who need to get to their next destination. Staff are outside and ready to help students enter safely.

2. Passing Vans with Flashing Lights
If you arrive after 8:25 a.m. and there are school transport vans in front of you with flashing lights, you are not permitted to pass. Please wait until the lights are off before proceeding. This is a safety requirement to ensure students are entering the building safely.

Thank you for helping us keep morning arrival smooth and safe for all.
