Dear Proctor Penguins and Families,

Last week was all about math at Proctor. We kicked off Math MCAS with our fifth graders and followed with fourth grade. Our students showed great focus and perseverance and we are proud of their efforts. This week, fourth grade will wrap up their testing and third grade will begin. We appreciate your support in helping students come to school well rested and ready to do their best.

We also spent time in classrooms conducting math walkthroughs as part of our first year of full implementation of Eureka Math². This helps us stay aligned in what strong math instruction looks like and ensures all students are engaging in meaningful thinking and learning.

On an non-math related note, it was wonderful to see our first graders proudly share their learning during the Animal Home Show project showcase. Students did an incredible job presenting their work and reflecting on what they learned. Thank you to the families who joined us and helped make the experience so special for our students. Also, thank you to our first grade teachers and support staff for making this event so successful and fun!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and it is a special time to recognize the incredible educators who care for, challenge, and support our students each day. If you are able, a kind note or message goes a long way in showing appreciation for all they do. We are so grateful for our Proctor staff and the heart they bring to this work.

As always, thank you for your partnership and for being such an important part of our Proctor community. Together we live the Penguin Way by taking care of ourselves, each other, and our school.

Peaslee Building Committee is Seeking Input (5-Minute Survey)

Dear Northborough Community Member,

The Town is at an important point in planning for the future of Peaslee Elementary School. Originally constructed in 1962, the building's core systems are beyond their lifespan and require significant investment. The decisions ahead will have long-term implications for our students, schools, and the broader community.

Northborough is partnering with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), which has invited the Town to participate in its Core Building Program. Through this partnership, MSBA is expected to reimburse approximately 48.68% of eligible project costs, representing a substantial opportunity to improve school facilities with state support. Northborough’s most recent MSBA partnership, the Lincoln Street Elementary School project in 2011, received 52.88% reimbursement. To learn more about MSBA, please visit the MSBA website.

The Town and School District are currently evaluating potential grade configurations for the Public Schools of Northborough, including maintaining the existing elementary neighborhood school model or exploring elementary grade-span consolidation. Each grade configuration option presents different educational, operational, and financial considerations.

This survey is designed for the Peaslee Building Committee to better understand what matters most to the Northborough community, particularly regarding educational programming, grade configuration, and the overall cost and impact on taxpayers. Your input will play an important role in informing the direction of this project.

Respectfully,
Peaslee Building Committee

A note from Nurse Gage

Just a reminder to please have your child bring in a water bottle to stay hydrated. They will have access to our water station throughout the day so they can refill their water bottles as needed. Students can also bring sunglasses and hats to protect themselves from the sun during recess.

EPI School Supply Kit Ordering

We’re excited to share that Proctor is once again partnering with EPI for our 2026–2027 school supply kits! This is a convenient option for families looking to save time and ensure students have exactly what they need for the start of the school year.

Each kit is customized by grade level and will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom before the first day of school.
Orders can be placed online through June 16th at:

School ID: PRO112

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Diane Webster or Jennifer Garron.

Yearbook Ordering Happening Now

It’s time to order your 2025–2026 Proctor yearbook. Orders are due by May 12, and each book is $25. Families can place an order online using the information provided in the flyer. If you are unsure whether you have already ordered, there is an option to search by email before checking out.

Also, see attachment for more information.

Field Trip Payments Through UniPay

We are excited to continue offering field trip experiences for our students this spring. To help streamline the process, all field trip payments are completed through UniPay for all schools throughout the district.

How to access UniPay:
  • Visit the district website or HERE
  • Click on the UniPay link (often listed under Families or Quick Links)
  • Select Proctor School
  • Choose your child’s field trip from the list
  • Enter your child’s name and grade, then complete payment

If you have used UniPay before, you can log in with your existing account. If not, you can check out as a guest or create an account for future use.

Why we use UniPay:
Using UniPay helps us keep things organized, secure, and efficient. It allows us to:
  • Track payments accurately for each student
  • Reduce the need for cash or checks coming into school
  • Ensure funds are processed quickly so we can confirm trips and reservations
We know online systems can sometimes feel like an extra step, and we appreciate your support in helping us manage this process smoothly.

If you have any difficulty accessing UniPay or prefer an alternative option, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help.
